# How to Rent and Return an AmpereOne Power bank

The AmpereOne power bank sharing service lets you rent a power bank on the go and return it anywhere in the network. Here's the step-by-step process.

## 1. Download the App

Get the AmpereOne app for iOS (App Store) or Android (Google Play). Create a free account with your email or phone number. Registration takes under a minute.

## 2. Find a Station

Open the app to see a real-time map of nearby stations. Each station shows the number of available powerbanks and free return slots.

## 3. Start the Rental

You can start a rental in two ways:

**Via the AmpereOne app:**
1. Select the station in the app or scan the QR code on the station.
2. Confirm the rental — the cost is displayed before you confirm.
3. The station releases a power bank automatically.

**Directly at the station (no app needed):**
1. Use the integrated POS (payment terminal) on the station.
2. Pay with card or contactless — the cost is shown on the terminal.
3. The station releases a power bank immediately.

Pricing varies by station and location and is always shown before confirmation.

## 4. Take the Power bank

The station releases a power bank. Check that it is undamaged and has sufficient charge for your needs. Each power bank includes integrated USB-C, Lightning, and Micro-USB cables.

## 5. Use the Power bank

Use the power bank to charge your smartphone or compatible device on the go. You are not tied to a power outlet — you can move freely while charging.

## 6. Return the Power bank

When you're done, return the power bank to any compatible AmpereOne station with an available slot. Use the app to find the nearest return point. Insert the power bank into a free slot — the station automatically detects the return and ends your rental.

- **Max rental duration**: 48 hours
- **Non-return fee**: €35 if not returned within 48 hours
- **Lost or damaged power bank**: The cost of the device is charged to the user

## Important Notes

- You can only rent one power bank at a time.
- Power bank charge level at pickup depends on previous usage and station recharging cycle — check before confirming.
- Return is only possible at compatible AmpereOne stations with available slots.
